Where to buy those Halloween party essentials

A quick trip into my local town centre this morning and I was left in no doubt that Halloween, is just round the corner. It will be the first on in our house in Hertfordshire and I’m looking forward to putting a pumpkin outside to welcome the local treat or treaters.

So where to go for the best tableware and costumes? Here’s a quick rundown of the best decorations and costumes, especially if you’re on a budget.

Wilko’s

They have amazing tableware and decorations. My favourites are the bloody tablecloth for only £2.00 or the trick or treat bowl for £1.50. Or a selection of costumes for adults and kids for under £15.

Poundland

Poundland seem to have been inspired by ‘the Day of the Dead’ looking at their decorations. Which is a great alternative from all the orange. My favourites include the cupcake stand and the tea light holder and yes, they are both £1.

Tesco have a good selection of kids Halloween costumes, including a Peppa Pig Halloween tutu dress, not something I was expecting. That pig gets everywhere! They have so many decorations as well, including toilet seat decorations, a skeleton dog and door banners, definitely worth a look.

Party Pieces

If you are looking to upgrade your decorations this year, you should visit Party Pieces . There is even the option to personalise banners and they have a good selection of props, which you could use year after year. Which may save you money in the long run. Oh and they have a some Halloween pet costumes which I’ve not seen anywhere else, so you can get the family pooch in on the Halloween action.
